If you have not yet familiarized yourself with the Phoenix (New House Construction) Project, please do so before proceeding further.
Beneficiaries:
Campaign contributions are acceptable through two different fund accounts, both of which serve different purposes.
1. Oklahoma Mu Alumni Corporation (preferred fund)
Use: Gifts made to the Oklahoma Mu Alumni Corporation will go directly to construction of non-educational areas of the Chapter House.
Tax: Contributions to the Alumni Corporation are not tax-deductible, though they do avoid capital gains on transfers of appreciated assets. We must receive a minimum of 65 percent of all contributions to this fund.
2. Sigma Alpha Epsilon National Foundation-Oklahoma Mu Campaign
Use: Gifts made to the Sigma Alpha Epsilon National Foundation will help fund construction of educational space in the Chapter House, as well as help establish an educational endowment.
Tax: Contributions of $10,000 or more to the SAE Foundation are 100 percent tax-deductible, plus they avoid capital gains on transfers of appreciated assets. For construction purposes, we will only be able to accept 35 percent of all campaign contributions to this fund.
We are concerned that too many contributions will go to the National Foundation as opposed to the Alumni Corporation. For the building campaign to work we urge donors to either split gifts to the two funds or give directly to the Alumni Corporation. families, employers and communities.
Although the pledge billing statement will remind you, all payments will be mailed to:
Oklahoma Mu Campaign
PO Box 52009
Tulsa, OK 74152-0009
Based on how you arrange your pledge, you will need to make payments to either/or:
Oklahoma Mu Alumni Corporation, Inc.
SAE Foundation-Oklahoma Mu Campaign
You are encouraged to give based on a three to five-year payment schedule. If you can pay it off sooner, it would help substantially. Your support is truly appreciated.
Thank you for your Support!
