About Us.

For nine decades, the Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity has been a prolific part of the traditions and heritage of Oklahoma State University. SAE has enriched the University, the City of Stillwater and the 1,300-plus members of its Order. Now, nearly 75 years later, things haven't changed. A chapter with quality members, award winning programming and above average grades, functions as one of the University's finest Greek organizations. Recognized as a leader both at OSU and within the SAE National Fraternity, the Oklahoma Mu Chapter registers members of many campus organizations and its members play active roles in the University's operations.
The chapter's remarkable presence on the Stillwater campus has been nothing short of exceptional. The chapter's designation as one of the perennial stars nationally, as a Zeal Award winner (and nominee on several occasions), is just one example describing the chapter's value to the University and SAE National Fraternity. More importantly, however, is the impact the chapter has had on the lives of its members.
We provide a forum or opportunity to excel in the classroom, on the field and as a leader on campus and/or within the chapter is the signature mark of the Oklahoma Mu Chapter. Scores of chapter alumni attribute the success they've achieved in their professions, communities, churches and families, to the values, skills and opportunities they developed as Oklahoma Mu members. Whether it was a tutoring lesson they learned from a fellow brother, leadership styles they formed at meetings or manners they acquired from Mom Woods, Mom Andre and others, the chapter has been a major influence on many lives.
The mission of Sigma Alpha Epsilon is to promote the highest standards of friendship, scholarship, and service for our members based upon the ideals set forth by our Founders and as specifically enunciated in our creed. Also, three distinct words reflect the type of experience that the Oklahoma Mu Chapter places on a young man's life: Character, Balance and Hospitality. The consistency of brotherhood, service and scholarship is valued by the undergraduates and alumni, not to mention those they're in contact with, most notably their families, employers and communities.
